just received their phone call informing me that they they are able to confirm a space for my kid for Sunday starting Jan 07.  They said it is because they have opened up a new time slot on Sunday to accommodate those who has been on the waiting list for a long time.  Has anyone also got contacted by them recently confirming a space in their classes.  My kid has been on their waitlist for about 1 year.  As I live quite far away from where the studio is, anyone can give some comments as to whether it is worth the traveling time to join their class.

Hi, HMMA,

Just wonder why you put your kid's name on their waiting list for 1 year while you are living so far away and have no confidence in them.       Do you know what are their characteristics?     

In my girl's experience, it is a good place to learn drawing skills there.         SIMPLY ART is mainly focusing on drawing and painting.       There are no other handicraft teaching.         So, to consider whether SIMPLY ART is worth joining or not, we should make it clear for what we need for our kids.      If your kid is still small, and you want him/her to expose to different kinds of elements in art, you may join some other creative art studio first.   ( I don't mean SIMPLY ART is not creative. )       Finally, your living place is also a very important point to consider.       If it is very complicated to go and it takes you much time in  travelling, it is not worthing insisting.       After all, Sunday is an excellent family day!

Thanks for your comments.  I am collecting feedback on the studio because it's been a year since we first contacted them and I just wanted to see if there is any major change to the people who run the studio.  My kid is turning 8 and very fond of drawing.  After reading your message, I think I will let her take this chance to get coaching on proper drawing skills from there.

I guess I cannot speak on behalf of the studio itself how much they charge for a lesson in this open forum, perhaps you could give them a call to check.  Their location is at Prince Road West.  They charge on a bi-monthly basic.

我小朋友學博藝堂前都有參加其它畫室課程,著重創意,認識不同物料種類. 而博藝堂,主要係畫畫技巧, 掃描, 水彩....
我小朋友返第一堂就畫了一幅掃描畫,她很開心和很有成功感.因幅畫真的很像樣,我重問佢,老帥有無幫手,佢話無,只是在另一張紙教她怎樣掃.overall, 她enjoy 的,聽呀女講,那對夫婦(forget their name)都好nice,對不認真畫的就會嚴.
但我小朋友因太忙,已無學很久了.

HK170 per lesson (1.5 hrs) which is printed in their application form. My daughter also joined this studio a few months ago.  Her drawings always give us surprise (very creative and nice).
