可否咁計

水閘　１　＝A 　水閘２=B　如此類推
A+B+C=7.5
A+B+D=6
B+D+E=4

from equation 1 & 2, choosing 5 would save 2.5hr against 3.
from equartion 1 & 3, choosing 4 would save 1.5hr against 3,
from last equation, 2,4,5 will only cost 4 hrs.. so if all 1-5 opens, you could fill the pool instantly

Pool Capacity x = (a+b+c) * 7.5 = (a+b+e) * 5 =(a+b+d) *6 =(b+d+e) *4
Please solve a, b, c, d & e. You need some time.

Time needed = x / (a+b+c+d +e)

If last sentense "若2、4、5號閘同時放水，需4小時完成" change to "若3、4、5號閘同時放水，需4小時完成", then it will be much easier.

咁樣好似仲复雜。

好似呢啲未知數多於方程式的問題，理論上有無數答案，我就咁計：

a+b+c=7.5 (1)
a+b+e=5    (2)
a+b+d=6    (3)
d+d+e=4    (4)

(1)-(2) ---> c=e+2.5 ---(5)
(3)-(2) ---> d=e+1  ---(6)
(3)-(4) ---> a=e+2  ---(7)

(1)+(2)+(3)+(4)

(a+b+c+d+e) + (a+b+e) + (a+b+d) +b = 7.5+5+6+4

(a+b+c+d+e) + b =7.5+4=11.5 ----(8)

將(5), (6), (7) 代入(8)

b+2e=3.

我估b=1, e=1. 那麽 c=3.5 d=2, a=3

a+b+c+d+e = 10.5

(事实上，e=0.5, b=2, e=0.1, b=2.8 ..... 都可，未知數多於方程式的問題，理論上有無數答案)

youma said "x=(a+b+c)*7.5" is not same as "a+b+c=7.5"

That is:
(1) x=(a+b+c)*7.5
(2) x=(a+b+e)*5
(3) x=(a+b+d)*6
(4) x=(b+d+e)*4

If (4) change to "x=(c+d+e)*4" then it will more simple
