Re: Any comments on Melissa Kong School of Ballet
Sorry, here is my opinion only:
my daughter and my sister-in-law's daughter (both starts from age 3) and learnt there for nearly 2 year. I can say that the teachers are very nice, especially Ms. Kong. She is very kind to the children. My daughter likes her very much. From the daughter's view, she likes to play ballet there because the teacher teaches them beautiful dance, like butterfly.... But from our adult's view:
1) too many students in a class, my daughter study at Sat and Sun morning. There are about 15, or sometimes more, with only 1 teacher.
2) the other point is that the parents can see their children through the window to view the whole class. Children cannot be concentrated to the class because they always attracted by their parents to wave..... it's sometimes not easy for the teacher to control the children.
3) My daughter didn't learn too many here, of course she like there because it seems playing there. But now, she changed to 香港XX芭蕾舞團, it is organized by a Beijing teacher. He really teaches student what's Ballet. It's difference to Ms. Kong as she teaches is UK ballet, while the Beijing teacher is Russia ballet (which is the original one and the most classic of ballet) Fee is $450.00 per month, 1 hour sharp per lesson (actually 係任上, 只要有堂就得, 我個女依家2 times per week, actually there is one more on sunday)
The parents cannot watch their students. But I can say that, my daughter learn more here, you can stay there and listen to what the teacher said. The most important, she enjoyed it cause she have confidence in learning ballet with her ability, not playing now. She is age 5 now.
我可以肯定小朋友喺Ms. Kong 果度學, 係會好開心. 尢其是我見到有一班日本妹 (About Age 11-12), 佢地好 enjoy.
不過, 我地真係想個女好認真學 ballet, not playing. 當然, 個女都要開心先得.
