My daughter is going to P.1 in 2007. Would like to know which school is better, St Margaret's Co-ed or PLK Tan Siu Lin?

To BTau: Are both schools accepted your daughter?
What is your expectation for those two schools?
If you want good acadamic background TSL is better but if you want your daughter to develop her other talent St. Margaret is recommended.

Thks for your reply. I like St Margaret's better as I want my daughter learning in a happy environment and enjoy her school life. But I want to know their P.3 TSA result and I wonder the secondary school is good or not.

To me St. Margaret's is much better since they have Secondary school and we don't need to go through this nightmare finding school process again.

When the time our kids get into the secondary school, all students should come from its primary school, they should obtained certain standard. I don't think this is a problem at that time.

To Btau: My niece just graduated from TSL this year and her result for secondary school not good only at Band 2 and also my nephew now still studying at P.6. What I knew for TSL has many homework since it changed its Principal. Also, it pays more attention to those students who have talent. For those just fair students they have less attention. But anyway, TSL has famous brand. So many parents still eager for it.

Stepahieshum and other parents, thanks very much for your valuable advice. Luckily, we received school's call and confirmed acceptance my daughter's application. After reading all your messages, we decided to choose St Margaret. We look forward to seeing you all over there. Do anyone give me advice what preparation should be required in the following months before studying P1 at St Margaret? Regards BTau
