My son already graduated from CPS and is now studying in a band one secondary school F3 (1st choice),  he got lots of  academic  achievement  during his secondary life, therefore it proved that CPS' teaching method is successful.

My daughter is now studying in CPS too, she is in P4, it is true that  it become more homework and more difficult , but since CPS' teachers are very experience, they know how to teach and take care of the student, my daughter is very happy everyday, she even don't want to take too much holiday.  She shows interest in different kind of things.  Believe this is what we want in primary education.

One more thing is their headmaster & teachers always give us  a warm feeling.  They always wearing a smiling face. I love this happy school.

有聽聞啟思小學的老師並非"宣傳"中那麼有愛心，令不少家長失望，是真的嗎，還是因為要求過高呢?

Hi LA,

I can't directly answer your question but I can give your more information regarding Creative Primary School as I tutored a CPS P.6 student last year.

Their English curriculum is packed and the students have two English teachers, one is Chinese and the other is a native English speaker.  They group the students according to their level of English, which provides little stimulation to the children's language development.  Some of the worksheets provided by their Chinese "English teacher" has gramatical mistakes as well.  The girl I tutored was one of the top students in their top English group but her English is still not fluent.  The teachers touched base on a lot of topics and give out 20-word vocabulary lists regularly, but it seems like they didn't do a very good job teaching the students as I had to explain the majority of what they've "taught" to my student again.

However, studying in schools with a good reputation is a big advantage when it comes to getting your child into secondary schools.  Other good things about CPS is that they organizes a lot of activities for their students.

Anyway, my advice is not to rely on the school, you will need to revise everything your child learns at school on a weekly basis to ensure your child is up to standard.
