Cheap reed won't produce a good sound, and finally will affect the learning process of your child.

In fact, usually good oboe tutor will make reeds for their only students.

Sorry, what I mean is better offer/price in term of purchase from famous store, like TomLee.  I am not looking for the cheapest one.  Actually, the reed I brought from TomLee is not cheap at all but they always have stock problem (most headach).  So, I am looking for different source.

Trust me, the biggest source should be from your teacher!! All good and qualified oboe teachers in town will provide reeds for their students as far as I know.

Secondly, buy as much as you can when Tomlee has stock. Although I am a clarinet player, I usually buy more than 3-4 box at a same time, costly, but helpful as you always don't know when you are out of reed.
