My daughter is learning violin in a music co. Her violin teacher said that she will leave in October and open her own studio to teach violin.

My daughter has followed this teacher  for two years and she likes this teacher. The learning is happy and so far so good. I would like to continue with this teacher in her studio.

I have some questions. Will it be any trouble if I quit the music co. and change to the teacher's studio ?
I have received some student handbook / guidelines from the music co. at the very beginning stated that  if a student quit the music co. and follow the teacher of this music co. , they may take legal action. Will it may true or just kidding ?

As this teacher is very nice to my daughter, I wuld like to buy something to her in the first lesson in her studio ?  Any idea about it ? I would like to show our appreciation to her. Please help !

Seems very straight wor. But how can they know / prove you follow the particular teacher if you quit? It can be understand if a teacher leave and you don't want to follow a new teacher.

The terms stated in the handbook related to the customer are not valid and obviously illegal. To learn violin in the music company is only a simple 'buy and sell' trade. If you doubt on these terms, you can complain to '銷委會'.

Thanks a lot for your advice.

I feel more comfort now !

By the way, any suggestion to a gift to the teacher for my first visit to her studio ? In fact, it may be her home.

Should I buy some fruits or chocolate or some decoration ? Any idea ?

My daughter's violin teacher has also left the music shop in end Sep - and they arrange a new one for her. But my daughter is not used to the new teacher - and seems the old one is better too...
