My son is at St. Jo P.1 & I really have to spend some time to help him on his homework everyday.  He was from a kinder with little pressure.  

I faced the same thing like most of you last year.  What I knew about 華仁 is from BK.  I think there are good & not so good teachers in every school.

I mean St.Paul, actually perfer to "big kid". This is the point that I forgot.

So, if you really worry about your "little kid" will study very hard, then let him repeat K3. Don't applied for any allocation from Govt. Expect for DSS, he can earn the interview experience and he gains the credit for the next year. Next year, he apply for the same DSS (St.Paul. co-edu or some others you like) he should be one of the "jetso" boys, because he will the almost bigest boy, right?
Even he failed, your knocking letter can mentioned that you has applied for the school twice,.......... he should get the greatest chance    

From Wah yan, St.Joseph and St.Paul,點揀  
首先從自己小朋友條件去揀

1) Suppose I'm sure my son is very smart, - St.joseph

2) Suppose I'm not sure he's very smart or not - Wah Yan

3) Suppose my son is 中等- St.Paul

因為這樣會保障他升原校。

如果計劃他往外國升中，首選St.Joseph, 次選St.Paul.

如乜都唔理，乜都唔知，但又任揀, Wah Yan.

Do you very confuse? Because it's really the most difficult question,

Dear holokmom,

I am confused  

You have a smart elder boy who was able to gain entry to P.2 in St. Joseph and, as gathered from another topic, I was given to understand that he has no problem with his learning and school life.  Because of his elder, your little son also gets admitted to St. Joseph this year without difficulty.

Everything seems fine to you    So why you still have headache on your sons' schooling

Oh my God, I though the message sent to jodiyang was the PM

LTT, Compare with my edler boy, the little one is really so... "little brother", he's not always practise playing paino when I 'm not at home, he always call me when he is doing his exercise and sometimes makes complaint to me ...../...... so I had no confidence on his further school performance, (I know it's unfair to set the standard and compare him with my elder strong one, but parents always can't stop this, right?)

So, I also got frustrated about the little one's schooling life. I had put this to into one of the my consideration for letting my edler one transfer from St.Joseph to St.Paul (when he is P.2)You know, of course, my little one was supposed can be admited into St.Paul if the edler one study there. However, it was objected by all parents who I consulted including one St.Paul College's mom) I then did the quick research for the acemdics' among two secondary.

As same as you, the acamedic result of public exam is the main and the only reason for me to choose for my children.

They(other parents)advised me that my elder one should stay at his best, St.Joseph..........and  I just might be over worried about my little's ability.

This means suppose the parents who can't sure or '唔知'whether his son has strong ability to flight for the seats to St.joseph college from its priamry.

If 唔知, or very worry about the tough schooling life, then study in Wah yan is the best. This answer is only referred to the point of "promote to the original secondary" because all of us know that the boys in Wah yan are more easier to go into is secondary compare with St.Joseph. Am I right?

"乜都唔理", because the parents asked me supposed she  has ignored the school fee (St.Paul), how to choose. Then,乜都唔理, 唔理school fee, 唔理 child's fighting ability...... then Wah Yan is the best. Because the school has the screening system but not as easy as St.Paul but the acamedic is still very good.

"但又任揀" this means if parents can choose any from three schools. But it's not the reality, in fact, go into Wah Yan is the most difficult (suppose we don't any have marks and attend the lucky draw)

All the answer is supposed, because choose from St.Joseph and Wah yan, actually, is not "you can the one which you like", so I also quoted it as "the most difficult question" in the other topic.

麟媽媽,of course, you aren't 乜都唔理，乜都唔知, this's just applied for the situation of the current applicants who was bothered  by these two schools for such a long time and make a dream to suppose? suppose? and choose.

Sorry to lead you misunderstanding. Do you know I've  felt so upset for the whole year when I failed to apply Wah yan for my eder son (P.1)

其实你所提議的, 就正是我心中的疑問  !! 我囝囝今年 K3, 本應在 9 月中申請"自行分配學位"而且我將会報考華仁.  但老師們叫我考慮吓比佢 repeat K3, 因佢实在太 b b咁話; 但其实佢功課方面無問題, 只係心智未成熟, 所从一直心大心細好唔好照参加"自行分配學位", 等到明年 3.4 月才決定留班與否. 咁依你所講, 還想請教若果真係咁好彩比華仁收咗 (發緊夢 !!) , 但結果又我最終決定留班, 咁会点呢 ? 學位又可否保留至下年 ?

吓！若果真係咁好彩比華仁收咗 (發緊夢 !!) , 梗係直刻走去讀啦，學位無得keep架！

"small kid "係煩啲....但我見過有啲細仔都考頭幾名喎，如果讀Wah Yan 都唔怕啦.
