1. My son couldn't speak complete sentence in Cantonese at the age of 2.5 yrs old. The reason is he was brought up by grandma and Philino maid. My brother's Professor came to HK to present a paper in HKU, he spared two hours to observe my son and recommended us to send him to school earlier and mixed more with kids with similar age. After joining the pre-nursery for two weeks, he can talk in complete sentence non-stop up to now. Honestly, I like him more before 2.5. Too late now!!
2. He has photographic memory on many things and approach most questions in different sense. For example, I ask him a question recently (age 11), will e-newspaper replaced traditional hard copy newspapers. His answer is what's the timeframe you refer to, base on different timeframes, he provides different answers with his logic behind.
3. I surf through internet to gather more information to understand and helping my son at his age around 2. The key word is learning disabilty, most articles coming up related to gifted kids and I start to observe my son since then.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
