Re: 香港教育有問題嗎？
I use to think that the educational system in HK do have problems. Have you heard of any student claim to enjoy their school life? Or compliment on the way they are taught?
I guess most of the respondents to these questions are negative or being unsatisfactory to the present system.
In many occasions, students and their parents are complaining about the heavy burden on examination and the over emphasis on results rather than knowledge assimilated.
The language ability of an average student has long been under criticism for their lack of thorough understanding & creativity. In HK, it is kind of "hard memory" that is enough to get high marks, without the need to understand what actually they are learning. To be frank, there are not too many students who are able to speak & write really fluent English. We are definitely inferior to the standard of a Singaporean student (who can usually speak a few languages). |
