Dear all,

My little boy will start PY1 this Sept and we are now living in Shatin. Have checked Kwoon Chung about the school bus routings, they said the bus routes for PY1 varies every year depending on the locations of new students.

Learnt from the current year routings, there is no direct school bus service from Shatin for PY1 students. Students from NT have to go to Kowloon Tong/Hung Hom KCR by their own transport and switch to the SIS school bus there. School bus at Hung Hom takes less than 30 minutes to SIS.

Return journey is okay (~1 hour) as existing route is available.

Any parents from NT can share your thoughts ? I am thinking of moving from NT to HK Island ...

I live in Mong Kok, and my son spends 1 hour to school by Kwoon Chung.
I think it is reasonable to take 1 hour in transport.
Because some local school students spend also 1 hour, even their schools locate at the same residential district.

Anyway, it is better if you can move to HK Island.

Kwung Chung told me that the demand for school bus from Kowloon side and N.T. is much lesser than before. Many parents move to Hong Kong side. I am one of them. If you want to move near the school, South Horizon or Sham Wan Towers maybe one of the choices.
