Re: 有冇弘立書院認識????
Dear Hi Y2KChild,
I do not want to argue with you for the sake of arguing. In fact, I always read your posts with serious interest and do find that I share quite a few common beliefs with you. Yet, facts are facts, and it is important that we get the facts right.
I have read your previous post carefully. You said, and I quote,
“ISF admits students starting from P1 (i.e. after K3) unlike those international schools which will adopt students starting from Year 1 or Grade 1 for age 5 students (i.e. after K2).” You made an unqualified statement of fact, which, without proper qualification, is factually incorrect. Isn't it true that the fact that your kid was once offered a place contradicts your own statement?
In fact ISF is really not classified as an international school. You may ask the school itself or check it with EMB …
Did I ever say that ISF is an international school? I have been saying that ISF is a PIS that is more like an international school than a local school.
For a real international school like ESF, the primary school is Year 1 to Year 6 (or grade 1 to grade 6), while the secondary school is Year 7 to Year 13 (or grade 7 to grade 13).
That’s interesting. By your definition, many students studying in say French Int. and Yew Chung are not studying in a real international school.
ISF will normally adopt students reaching the age of 5 yrs and 8 months and after completing K3
I would not have called your previous statement an incorrect one had you put the word “normally” in it.
ISF has been registered as a candidate for MYP programme but not yet been accredited. Up till now
This is true.
there is no solid plan when to implement the PYP programme.
Your statement is probably more true if changed to read “I am not aware of any solid plan, or, there is no official announcement to implement the PYP. I do not have anything to add at his stage, but stay tuned and watch out for further news.
Please do not feel offended, and I have no intention whatsoever in implying that QBS is a lesser school. If you have read my earlier posts under the other topic you will see that I really like QBS, and I probably will be equally happy if my girl were there.
Cheers,
