I also want to know more about St jo's kinder, btw, where is it?

Besides, now I think as long as the kinder is not traditional type, it will be OK even if the child is gifted. The importanace is can the kinder get enough "space" for the child to learn/explore rather than focus on the negative sides of the child's behaviours. We as parents, if we think that our kid is gifted, can "invest" more time and energy to "cultivate" the "learning" needs of our kids and I think this may be more important as we parents are the ones and only ones that understand our kids the best!

So far I found my boy adapted the school life pretty well. although he was transfered from a very "open" kinder to St Jo.

There are dictations twice a week in St Jo, and the teachers there are very concern about the childrens' behaviour and handwriting.  (sometimes my boy didn't get 100 marks for the dictation coz of his handwriting)

They don't give out notices very often.  They train the boys to remember them and tell at home, which I think it is good.  As I said before, my boy is very talkative, in which the class mistress notices as well.  However, she said he can manage to control himself in class. (that's why I said the school focus on the behaviour)

At the very beginning, my boy told me that he preferred the old school.  However, as times goes by, he gets used to it and no more complaints.

I think, if you like your kid to study in a tradtional primary school later on, no harm to try St Jo.  (This is exactly why I switch my boy to this school)  I had the same question that will he be happy studying this way, but now I found him fine. Kids can adjust themselves very well!
