Every school has a good or bad things.
In my mind, I will according with my son's character to chose a suitable school for him.
KGV is a secondary school, which primary school are you referring to?
I do not agree with your view on IS. Work in IS is different from local school completely. Secondary is also very different from primary. Different IS runs different system as well.
If your son is not clever and lazy as you said, it does not mean that IS is suitable for him. Kids studying in IS has initiative and self-motivation to study. Maybe you can take a look at the topics re IS to understand better.
