Hi Terrencewong,

One silly question, I would like to know.... since the building where they're located is quite old, do you know if they have central heat in the winter ?

The reason I asked is I recently visited a preschool on the peak not too long ago when the weather was a bit cold. They didn't have central heat, only the standalone unit. They did not turn the heat on too high because they were afraid the children might run into it. It was so cold even I could not stand it.

However, that really is just a personal feeling and it has nothing to do with the quality of the school.

Hi Ada,

Don't worry, the class rooms are warm enough to protect your child. I am not sure they have the central heater but it is not cold inside the classrooms.

Dear Terence Wong,

My boy was born on 4 Nov 2004. Is he will study April 2008 intake? I plan ESF Primary for him, then my question is can my boy goes to Sept 2009 ESF Primary as he doesn't finish Kinder?

Dear Y2KChild and all parents,

I want to ask the school said parents can submit application form when child turns 2. Some kids are born in the beginning of the year and some at the end of the year. However, they are study in the same year.

My question is kids who born in the beginning of the year means can get a seat easier than born at the end of the year? The reason is they can apply early and at the top of the wait list? Is it true?

Hi 502,

Well, there is no interview for the kids. It is under a first come first in system. It is really fair, the Principal will invite you and your kid to the school and give you a school visit, then will observe your kid to find he/she likes the school or not. That is no presure and very warm feeling.

Hi Yannass,

Don't worry so much. There is no application fee to submit your form. No harm to admit your form when your child is already 2. One important thing is your kid must know to toilet by himself when he starts to school. You could call the school and ask Miss Becky for question, she is a nice guy, she is the principal's secretary and she can speak Cantonese as well. :idea:

Very clever question. Well you may be right, but you could tell the school say you don't mind start to school from 2nd term. You could ask the school make a better arrangement for you. Try to keep on asking the school, they will try their best to help you. They are very kind and good heart Christian !

Thank you for your comments. One more question, Small World does not seem to offer any extracurricular activities (based on their website). Is that true ? Is this something that was raised by any parents at the parent teacher meeting ?
