Hi Wendy,

Kumon Chinese is taught in Mandarin. They will give you a CD for you to practice at home and follow the pronounciation of some simple words in elementary level. After promoted to higher level, they will teach phonics. Your girl need to do homework everyday and listen to the CD 4 times everyday as well. Of course my girl doesn't have such time to practice everyday. For the class, there are about 3 to 4 students in one group.

Wendy, can you tell me where to buy outside test papers? Is this something like exercise book with some mock test / exam papers at the back? Many thanks!

Hi Chuilee,

My friend told me that if my girl joined the flag selling day, she can get an endorsement on the "Service Award Scheme". I don't want her to carry a "光頭" sheet when she completes her primary at school. My friend said Sister or teacher will announce at school, they won't send any written notice, so I've already asked my girl to pay attention to the annoucement. But she said she don't understand what sister said during morning assembly. So if you get the news, please let me know.

Hi Chiulee,

Can your girl finish her Kumon homework everyday?

Actually I bought the test paper for my son three years ago, but he did't have time to finish, so I pass it to my girl. I'm not sure it is update or not. There are total eight papers, some of the questions are similar to our text book but there are still something our girl didn't learn at school.

The test papers are called "英文/中文/數學模擬測驗練習". You may try any bookstore, if you still can't find it, you may check with 盈科出版 at 28853498.

Hi Wendy,

My girl can finish the Kumon homework for the whole week, but she can't keep on doing one everyday. Sometimes she did none, but sometimes she did two or more in one day. Also, for the Kumon Chinese CD, she can't listen 4 times a day. Only once a day or once every 2 days.
