Maryknoll (Kowloon Tong)
Marymount (western district)
St. Stephen's Girls (western district)
Scared Heart (near Aberdeen)
DGS (Kowloon, near jordon)
Good Hope
St. Paul's Convent (Causeway Bay)
St. Paul's Secondary School (Happy Valley)
If you're middle class or above, I think u can choose the schools above.

If you're not so wealthy, these schools would be better:
Belilios Public School (Tin Hau)
Ying Wa Girl's School (western district)
Both of them're very good school with high quality of students, yet there are not so many "noble" or "wealthy" students.

St. Clare's Girls' School and Canossa College in Hong Kong Island both are English as Medium Instruction and girls school

100% Band 1:

80%+ Band 1:

30%-80% Band 1:

Chan Shu Ki
HMT Gov

I excluded schools with linked primary schools (e.g. La Salle, Maryknoll, HFCC, etc) because the figures are misleading. I included CSK because they get most of their students from the central allocation.

Girls' schools:
Heep Yunn
- EMI
- has linked pri sch
- to get in through interviews, one must be Band 1 or/and with exceptional ECA performace

Holy Family
- EMI
- has linked pri sch
- to get in through interviews, one must be Band 1 or/and with exceptional ECA performace

Kln True Light

- Band 2

Maryknoll
- EMI
- has linked pri sch
- to get in through interviews, one must be top top top Band 1 and with exceptional ECA performace

Is it hard to get in Heep Yunn ? I think my child is a Band 1 pupil. By the way, what is ECA performance and EMI ? which schools are linked with Heep Yunn apart from its own Primary School ?

Yes, it's hard to get in.

1/3 students in Hong Kong are in Band 1, so the name "Band 1 student" doesn't really mean much.

Which school is your daughter in and what's her ranking in school? Any awards, sports achievements and so on? HYS is a good school and they are quite picky.

They don't have any other linked schools besides their own primary.

ECA: Extra-curricular activities
EMI: English as medium of instruction

My child is studying in 聖公會牧愛小學上午校, 她是全級15 名內. 每年都有參加校際朗誦及音樂比賽but obtained "Merit" only. This year she also joins school 游泳校隊代表出賽和合唱團比賽. Would these help ?

Of course they will help. Chances are always there, but I don't think I'm the right person to tell you how big or how small the chance will be.

As I always say, it's hard to get a seat in round 1. Go for the school you like the most and see whether luck is on your side.
