Are there any parents know when the interview will usually take place (which month in 2006?),

And how many rounds of interview will there be?

Not yet, I called the ESF office before and they said acknowledgement would be sent after the closing date.

Any preparation work for your child interview?

nothing special...

I start to tell her some positive things about primary school, eg. big & nice playgrounds, big classroom, lunch at school, new friends etc...she is quite happy about this change at the moment.

I will not tell her there is an interview at ESF. I will just let her know it is a school visit to meet new friends & teachers & visit the school.

How about you, any preparation? Which ESF school will your boy/girl study?

Your suggestion is very good, but my boy would be quite alert and resist to meet strangers. It's really a headache to me.

I just let him join some other activities and hope he can build up his confidence to speak up.

I have applied Glenealy, how about you?

My daughter is very shy

when she meets strangers. She doesn't like to show off in front people. But she is fine at school or attending activites.

I've applied Bradbury.

So how old is the kid to go to primary school in P.1? If my kid finished the kindergar school then his age is 5.5 years old. can he goes to p.1 on 07-08?

Macusmama: ESF admits students according to the year of birth. Children born in 2001 will start Year 1 in 2006. Children born in 2002 will start Year 1 in 2007, etc. See ESF's admission webpage:

The interview will usually in Feb/Mar.Only 1 round of interview.

I have the same case with you. I would like my son to finish K3 before going to the Primary school. It means that he will apply for 07 enrollment but he's born in the year of 2001. Do you think ESF will accept that?

I think most of you have received the acknowledgement letter, right? I 've applied for Shatin Junior, does anyone know when the interview letter will be sent should they pick you for interview?

yesterday

my son meet his last year Filipino calssmate who has entered Shatin Junior this year

As no interview is offered to my son ( 100% local Chinese). My son has to consider other expensive non-ESF schools. :(

they say no need to submit again
just stay on the same waiting list

but i think there would not be chance to get into Shatin Junior, unless they open 3-4 more classes for P2

Or you move your residence location to another zone

Local Chinese, don't live in Shatin
