Re: ESF英文班質素如何,教得好吾好....
My kids studied the ESF Sat course from 3.5yrs to now 7.5 yrs.
When we first join, I found it very good. About 10 pupils per class, among which more than half are Eng native speaker/Japanese/Taiwanese. Only 2 or 3 speak Cantonese.
However, after these few years I found more and more Cantonese speaking kids joining the course. Besides, as they will rearrange the class after the first lesson according to the childrens' standard. As a result, there may be 10 out of 12 in the class speaking Cantonese. And just to remind you is that, the teacher may not be the full-time teacher of the ESF school and the teacher may also be able to speak Cantonese (I mean ABC/CBC) though she will not speak Cantonese in front of the kids. So what turns out is that students speak Cantonese among themselves, and teacher knows what they're doing/meaning just by their Cantonese. This , I consider, has to a large extent cut the benefits that originally has.
But your kids can still be expose to a More English (Not Totally English) atmosphere.
