兒子現在14歲, 英文底子較差只可普通相對答, 不太懂很深的詞語. 數學可以的..... 所以希望送他到英國讀year 9惡補英文...

以下是已考entrance test的學校, 現在等interview之後等offer. 因本人想他今年9月便去英國很趕,所以想問問大家的意見應該怎樣選擇如果都有offer, 因為學校現在還有學位的... 謝謝大家

你等多一等，d家長可能忙無時間睇，beastiebistro 和 poyau擅長提供寄宿學校資料，佢地會幫到你。

我識人去左英國讀一年就回港，因為英文完全跟唔上，你叫孩子快馬加鞭，勤力點加強英文語文能力，睇多d, 聽多d, 肯講，會有進步。

我自己覺得你所選既學校唔系boarding rate太少，就系香港人太多，Y9開始讀，一讀就5年，太將就唔單止浪費時間，亦浪費金錢，講緊而家起碼要半球一年。
去英國留學，你要肯講先可以提升聽同講，去英國留學唔代表英文可以變好，數學方面，香港比英國強好多，遲去一年頂得英國讀2年，而家都8月尾，做得簽證黎快既都要9月中至可以過去，
會唔會不如出年至去讀Y10，今年揾D英文班打下底先？數學底子好既到A level 時讀2科數加科物理果D就夠考大學啦。

呢個時候仲有呢幾間選有位，收既話就去啦，9年級其實相對好輕鬆（我仔學校，9年級仍在junior house 個邊住）
多生活上交流英文自然多少都會好起來，你沒有充足既時候準備，就不要理什麼寄宿比例，港人學生多少呢啲。
10年級過去，一開學就要馬上準備GCSE課程，莫講話12年級先過去。
根本，成績不好留到12年級先過英國，未坐暖就準備A level, 無疑浪費金錢，我識既好多只係為了skip 中文一科，去過冷河既尖子，佢哋12年級先去都無問題。

謝謝你的意見，就是因為year 9仲可以享受吓寄宿生活，所以方決定立即去，不想等到A level英文更加追唔上。現已有3間offer, Kent要星期二至知，仲掙扎緊揀邊間

An impressive 52% of grades awarded were 9 – 7, a very significant increase in comparison with 2019. These are results of which the whole year can be proud. Amidst the many stories of personal success, three students managed the extraordinary feat of a clean sweep of 9s. Matilda Ruthven, Lizzie K, and Ben Seddon achieved an astonishing ten grade 9s each in their exams.

課堂活動學術交流較多
課餘/寄宿較有助提升日常英語運用
如寄宿大部份為國際生/來自同一地區
試想可否達到原本想海外升學的目標

L/K 國際生多於/近乎等如寄宿人數
T 學生分流有 Int'l section
D 國際生佔全校學生差不多四成

Y12轉校可能難過Y10入學
與其將就再轉校 不如考慮一步到位
