I presume SIS means Singapore International? If so, SIS if you look for academics, HKIS if you look for culture (Western with a slight bias towards American) and campus facilities. Each year, usually 1-3 per grade goes to SIS for academic reasons.

Usually you got small number coming in from CDNIS, ISF, Harrow, ESF etc, some for the reason they aiming at US colleges later on. But unless you have made up your mind or have a very strong bias on this, think twice, because well over 85% move to US colleges, the culture is very much geared towards this and you kid may not like the idea you may want him stay in HK or go to UK later on.

It seems two different schools. SIS is more academic and provide much more focusing on Chinese. For HKIs, it follows the AP education system which provides a good support for the students who aim for US college. To be clarified, I am not the user of both school but just accepted the offer of HkIs for R2

重视中文的就选sis啦

不过通常到小学高年级sis的小朋友都会想专去HKIS，GSIS或者CIS这些学校的

SIS 絕對係一間好學校，學術嚴謹，敎學認真；只係缺少咗其他國際學校果種國際氣氛，其餘方面無可挑剔。

SIS: more “eastern” culture, stronger maths (heard it’s Singapore curriculum), more Chinese exposure. Lower fees ($150k+)
HKIS: more western, big school (~200 per grade so not the closely knit type), great school campus. Mandatory schoolbus. Higher fees($220k+)
So depends on what you want.
