Do you mean for primary school or for secondary school? If it is for p1 application, highly unlikely that a kid can get to grade 7 or 8 by then , if they can, D in grade 7 or M in grade 8 wouldnt matter coz this will certainly be 特異功能 if this is for S1 application，either grade is 都不值一談if the school does seriously looking for those with musical talent 插班就要再睇
