The only suggestion I could give is to stay away from the earthquake zone, safety of our kids always come in the first piority. no point putting the kids at risk/ making the kids staying somewhere that you don't feel safe, especially when we will be miles away and there is only little we can do. Christchurch(where earthquakes mostly happen) is a good place from career growth perspective.
