Unaccompanied minors service to end on 31 January 2017
Due to a decline in demand we have taken the decision to close the unaccompanied minor (Skyflyer Solo) service for flights operated by British Airways.
We will honour all bookings that have already been made for unaccompanied minors, but new bookings will cease from 24 February 2016. This was not a decision we have made lightly and was made with very careful consideration.
Bookings made and ticketed before 24 February 2016
Your unaccompanied minor bookings are not affected by these changes, but if customers wish to make a date change to their booking, date of travel must be before 31 January 2017.
We will continue to offer the same level of service your customers would expect from the unaccompanied minor service. However if they wish to cancel their bookings with us we will provide a full refund. All refunds should be processed in your GDS.
Bookings made but not ticketed
All bookings for unaccompanied minors that have not been ticketed will be cancelled automatically.
In line with existing policy, we will continue to take bookings for 12 to 18 year olds who wish to fly independently. However, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 years or over.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause your customers.
