It's much harder to get into isf academy if u don't get into the preschool, as u will face keen comp ... What i mean is that since the number of applications is below expectation, the school may have taken in some kids which it may not be willing to carry to primary, unless the kids improve a lot in the preschool years, which gives parents false hope.
Also, the academy is never shy in rejecting siblings applications and and asking parents to deal with under performing kids.
The preschool has very unique curriculum and its atmosphere is very chinese. After 2 years, it would not be easy to fit into other schools, LS or IS, or to find a place in these schools.
I think you do know the school will assess in house and first round results will be ready by Nov in the K2 year, and I bet not many will get straight in and quite a lot will be kept on watch list. They will assess the quality of students applying to the academy foundation year to see how many to take from the watch list.
Of course, each of us take a bet, and I respect your decision. If you beleive your kid is in the better half of the kids in preschool, then there should be no worry.
