Dear All,

As an anxious mom, I feel very confused about how to choose a good and suitable primary school for my son. After all, I found out 培僑, and I really think this is the one for my kid. However, the competition seems really strict, any suggestions everybody can give me?

My kid is a little bit shy, he can speak good Mandarin and Cantonese, but not English. I've sent him to an English course twice a week since this Jan, but he still doesn't like to speak English. Anyway, I am still trying to encourage him and hope this situation will be improved soon.

In this case, do you think 培僑 will accept a kid who is not very good at English? Or they really set English ability as the first demand?

P.S. My son is now K2, he likes reading very much but only for Chinese book.. Also, I heard that the interview will also incuding math, is that true? How simple is it? Like 4+3? 6-1?

the interview includes English, Chinese and Math. so it will be better to encourge your son to learn more English. In fact we do not know how the school select a suitable student, the only thing we can do is to try our best to learn more and be well prepared for the interview.

今年兒子升讀P1, 我們也非常喜歡該學校(從學校軟件到硬件, 盡管不是什麽名校). 今年共37xx多個申請, 第一輪面試, 是模擬上堂mock-up class形式. 第二輪面試(7xx), 學術題應該比較難(中英文重組句子, 數學多位加, 聽說還有數學概念的題目), 情景題目之類吧. 兒子是學術型, 英文數學比較好, 中文也不錯, 我想不是一定都答對吧,也看緣分. 加油!
