Harrogate Ladies' College 這間女校好嗎？姨甥女想今年9月去英國讀書，父母偏向選女校。各位對這校有認識嗎？今星期頭條有介紹：http://blogcity.me/blog/reply_blog_express.asp?f=49GIV2XJHA233609&id=701603，值得聽嗎？
另外，有校風嚴謹的女校介紹嗎？

•學校採用小班教學，師生比例小於1:8
•設有學校電台，學生可製作電台節目，有不少學生更因此取得英國播音員專業執照
•學校十分著重學生的學術成績，設有多個獎學金計劃以鼓勵學生在學術上有傑出的表現
鄰近有一所男校Harrogate College

從牛津跑過去的從學校走到 TOWN 只要五分鐘
距離 LEEDS 約三十分鐘車程
亞洲人比率不小成績普遍都很高香港大陸人多也有英國人中国商店是没有.
但是餐馆倒是又很多

It really depends on what you want from the school. I know a student who studied in a school in Harrogate and is familiar with the school though he did not studied in this school. He said the school is so full of Chinese girls, just like ESF schools in Hong Kong. So if the purpose of studying in this school is for mixing with foreign students, this might not be a good choice.
This is also what my two agencies (I used 2 agencies when I applied schools for my girl) told me about this school. Academic wise, it is okay, but in terms of Chinese : foreigner ratio, this school is bad.

IMO, I will not apply school where there are a lot of Chinese/Hong Kong students.

My girl has 2 offers so far, Headington School and Downe House. We have turned down the offer for Downe House (as I do not like her to study Cambridge Pre-U for sixth form) and we will pay the deposit for Headington.
We will visit the school during Chinese New Year holiday, I want my daughter to look around the school and meet her future classmates.
I know a few girls studied or are studying in this school. They told me that for each form, out of 180+ students, there are only around 10 HK students, so I think it should be a good mix. She will have friends from HK and can mix with foreign girls.

This is actually the best time to take her to England as the weather is the worst of the year, cold, rainy and get dark early. I want to make sure that she can stand the weather, ok with the school, before I make arrangement for her to start school in this September.

You can check the league table, it only showed that this school is not in the first 100 schools with best O level or A level results.

I used to study in HLC whilst my younger sister studied in Headington. I'll vote Headington for sure! HLC 太多中國人（包括港人和國內人）！

你所講的兩間學校我呢幾日都有上網睇過，Headington好像太少人寄宿了，加上有朋友的女兒讀過，說寄宿生中比教多香港人呢，似乎較難融入當地學生，你參觀完感覺如何？我和姨甥女上網看過，都很喜歡Downe House呢！你這次有沒有參觀，有沒有較多這學校的資料？另外Cambridge Pre-U是甚麼？我見到都是一些英國名校才有提供這課程，是嗎？

期待你的分享！

Downe House 我自己最後無take 到個offer，但識人讀。話係間讀得好開心的學校，好多野玩。香港學生都唔少，不過係全寄宿學校，應該都 mix 得好好，校長呢方面做得唔錯。DH在香港攪介紹會時，我都有去，對校長印象唔錯。
DH 校長堅持要個學生到學校面試，所以如果你有興趣的話，應該帶個女過英國去學校一轉，見見校長，參觀學校。

Cambridge Pre-U，聽講仲深過IB ...去咁遠讀書，都係想易d有張大學入場卷，所以呢點要認真考慮。DH 只 offer Cambridge Pre-U,無IB亦無A level。

你想要多d資料，send 封 email去學校就得，佢地反應都好快。

I graduated at HLC many years ago, it was a great school, not too many Chinese girls back then. It's very interesting to see the comments here😊
