Agree with Jane, go for through-trains. Most proper IS has their mass intake at Reception age (age 4), so you need to apply when the child is 3 years old. For that 1-2 years in kindergarten / PN, if your family speaks Chinese, go for a full English pre-school (or English/Mando ones of you aim for bilingual IS) so that the child is well prepared for the through-train school interviews. Of course, 3 hours per day in school may or may not be enough as preparation if the family speaks Chinese at home, depending on which school you're aiming for. |
