dear all, would really want to pick your brain on this. my boy is admitted to Anfield whampoa for PN (pm class) this fall, and paid the $14000 deposit. Then recently we also receive an offer from Think Kowloon Tong (also pm class). As we live in Kowloon Tong, Think's offer is really attractive...
Does any parent know how to compare these two schools? From my very rough research both schools are on the 'international' route, though it appears Anfield is more like a 'true' international school. my boy is born in october so he doesnt really have much choice re schooling. what would be your considerations apart from the transportation issue?

I didn't have experience in think. My girl is with anfield whampao. It's a super nice school, just amazing with good and caring teachers and staffs.  The teacher to students ratio is 1:6.

PN in think will focus in Cantonese (not really international) as they want to develop children's mother tongue, from K1 onward u can choose IB or local stream.... half day or whole day....

to be honest, i will still try to apply other KGs for K1. so i'm thinking which school gives me a better chance. in your opinion, does anfield gives enough exposure to cantonese as well?

I think there is no point to change at the moment as long as you will apply other kindergarten at K1.
Most schools are doing the similar things at PN stage; and i don't think any one year PN course will make anyone significantly "smarter".
Of course, if you plan for IS in future, choosing Anfield is already a good start.
In my days, Anfield only taught Mandarin but 30 minutes a day was just better than nothing..

I couldn't agree more.  All PN's are similar if you are thinking of choosing other schools for K1 anyway.  Considering that you have already paid HK$14K to Anfield, why not just stay put?  It's a waste of money, even if you might not care.
