Also, both schools have strong Chinese curriculum as I told? Any comment?

They are both private independent schools according to EDB. IS falls under different regulations.

Newdaddy, do you know if there would be difference for our children? Or it just purely government's catergories for them to split up in groups? I wonder how they would classify schools like Kingston, Anfield, Discovery Mind, etc.

As far as I know, international schools are supposed to intake a limited number of local students (about 25%). Private independent schools do not have such a limit. Both international schools and PIS have freedom to choose their curriculum. So if you prefer schools with more foreign students, perhaps you should go for international schools.

I think PIS are required to take in at least 70% of students with HKID. Other than that, I can't think of any major differences.
At the end of the day, I think parents should look at student body make-up, curriculum, philosophy, ...

As far as I remember, ICS is also a private independent school. They have similar arrangement with getting their land. I believe this is a kind of legal arrangement of setting up a school. I consider ICS as "international" as most other international schools.
