According to my observations, discipline is well observed. Kids are energetic, for sure and they may run like a wild animal (happily) in the campus but the school stresses 'anti-bullying' very much, so haven't heard of it as a problem.
One of the big change since the past year, for PY2 students, the school replaced 'computer lessons' with something like 'Values/conduct cultivation' to teach about the importance of self-discipline, being responsible, or cultivating high EQ etc'.
The school correctly spotted that the strengths and weaknesses for kids of age of PY2 at present...i.e. they need not anymore teaching on simple operations of computer, but what they need more are to know how to take care of themselves and others, and to cultivate the sense of being a responsible global citizen since very young.
So, the school is always forward looking and flexible enough to make good and appropriate changes.
As far as "conservative" is concerned, if this word 'conservative' means 'suppressive' of students' creativity, it would be a wrong assertion. The school gives large room to nurture and reward but not suppress creativity.
The best way to understand a school is to visit it and talk to a regular Joe of the school. After enrollment and having paid that $3000, you shall approach the General Office to arrange for a school visit asap. The school visits for new applicants usually start in September. [Who knows you could get some clues about the interview from any of the personnel you met in the school visit?]
Best wishes to your kid! |
