I understand what you mean and these things do happen! And you bring out the question whether it's safe to leave a small child by himself or herself in a gym. That's why the gym say that they will not be responsible for a child's injury and parents have to accept this term before taking the class.

My girl also has gym classes (not with little gym) and I used to accompany her as that gym requires parents' attendance up to 3.5 years old. And we parents have to watch out for those who push around in order to protect our own children. But my girl fell two times there, not because of others. One time from the swing and she fell backwards. The other time, while she was climbing the stairs, she fell down the stairs on her back and yes, it was very scary and I couldn't blame anyone but myself as I was watching her. So other than being hurt by someone else, accidents do happen too and we don't always react fast enough to prevent them. The gym that my girl goes to have 3 teachers for max 15 kids and I feel it's ok because me or my maid is there.

我就冇試堂，不過有日特登去睇了一堂3-5歲左右。個日是weekday中午，較少學生(4個)，都有2個導師。可能地方太大，學生反而不受控，導師每人keep住1個學生(A&B)時，另兩個(C&D)就自己週圍玩，到導師捉返C&D返黎又要repeat頭先個動作，又到A&B走左去。睇了半個鐘，最大運動量就係捉黎捉去。

咁貴一堂，仲要收二百幾"family membership fee"，但又冇facilities for 其他family member，parking coupon都好丫！

Thank you for sharing your observation. My child really enjoyed the trial lesson and she asked when she could go there again. But after reading others' sharing here, I think I shouldn't be leaving my child there on her own till she's a bit older. My child is not yet 3 but the staff there asked me to try the 3-5 years old class and said smaller child can learn more from the older kids. Even when my child turns 3, I think she's still not ready to be left without a caregiver in a gym. My concern is safety.

我都有同感。
試堂時囡囡好開心，所以我地即刻報左名。
但上左幾堂就開始悶，因為次次都係果幾樣，拍拍手唱唱歌，圍住圈行行跑跑，之後自由活動(囡囡最鍾意呢部份)，然後教d可以大人同小朋友一齊做的運動，之後比個波波 d 小朋友玩一陣，咁就45分鐘。
囡囡頭兩三堂都仲肯跟大隊，之後就成日走開自己玩。我覺得 d 老師冇辦法控制倒現場氣氛，所以 d 人好散。話就話兩個teachers教一班，但其中一個只係全程做助手(睇住同遞玩具)。
我比囡囡去 playgroup 係想佢過下集體生活，學下守規矩，有紀律。結果響little gym好似做唔到呢樣野。
我都係新手媽媽，唔知其他 playgroup 係咪都係一樣，所以而家都搵緊其他 d 試下。
老實講，little gym 要先比 $280 入會，再比 $180/堂，唔算平。而家 3 月開新semester 好似要一次過比廿幾堂成$3000+，真係要諗清楚。

I thought they changed the gym setting every week, didn't they? For example, this week, they do the bar, the next week, they'd do the beam and so there should be something different each week. Besides, the songs and stories should be different!?

囡囡頭兩三堂都仲肯跟大隊，之後就成日走開自己玩。

This depends. My kid was like that too when she was younger (1.5-2.5yrs). Now she's older and seems more willing to follow instructions.

the songs >>> the same.

stories >>> no stories at all. maybe cos it's for upto 19months, they are too young.

看完你的post後，非常有同感。我個仔已經上完一期，所以可以分享下。
1課程:試堂時只有8人一堂，仔仔好開心，所以我地即刻報左名。點知3節之後，一堂人數竟有12-16小朋友，加上家長，共有三十多人在內。而正如咕怪媽媽所剛說，次次上都係果幾樣，拍拍手唱唱歌，圍住圈行行跑跑，，之後自由活動。上完三次後，覺得比大約$180自由活動，真真吾值，以後的4-10堂，內容一樣繼續自由活動。上星期終於上完，個staff 游說我繼續join, 點知一看之下，發現3 月新semester 長至19堂，一次過要比成$3500+，for fun 的gym無必要上那麼長嗎?!!$$$至上???/
2 師資: 個人覺得不夠專業。堂上主要由一位女miss帶唱遊，(不是教玩那些器材?!)，另外一位行行企企，比我感覺只是為了符合18人有2位老師的要求。
有位Tutor Time 的家長說，那女miss就是老闆，她以前是Tutor Time 的家長，之後就拉了那邊的幾位老師過來開業。(That's why a lot of Tutor Time's kids receive Little Gym's invitation.)依家就由老闆做矛miss，但她似乎冇教學經驗???!!
In conclusion, try for 1-2 lessons is ok, but it doesn't worth to pay $180 for freeplay. Other good choices than Little gym: Gymbroee, Kiddicraft, Kindermusic, kids gallery, Anfield...........

謝謝妳的分享。我很希望讓女兒參加the little gym，想收集多些意見，因為家住九龍的關係（我女兒現在的gym在香港，覺得長途跋涉）但試堂後暫時不考慮。其實那裏的職員亦曾告訴我每班最多有十七、八人，我覺得也可接受（因女兒現時的班也有十五人），問題是the little gym的老師太斯文，聲音太小，不夠專業，加上地方太大，很難形造氣氛及控制場面。至於上堂內容方面，有重覆是難免的，例如熱身時圍圈唱歌，有自由時間、bye-bye song等，不過我想知除了主題的gym器材會不同外，是否堂堂都玩波、豆袋和吹bubbles（我試堂時玩這些）？至於堂上主要由一位老師帶唱遊也很正常，不過其他時間，例如玩gym器材時所有老師應一同負責。

The little gym的環境很不錯，宣傳單張印刷精美，這些都要學費支持的，所以學費自然貴一點，不過45分鐘$180等於$240一小時了。我覺得會員年費收得勉強，可以優先報名和以會員價開生日會說不上甚
