小一是否用小二的課本?
中文用什麽出版社的課本?
英文用什麽出版社的課本?
數學用什麽出版社的課本?
是不是每星期都有中、英默?又是否unseen dictation?
小一用小二的英文書是否很難?

We use the same p.1 Chinese textbooks but the level is more advanced.

Yes, for English and Maths, we are using p.2 ones, cos. p.1 ones have been completed in the first few months.  

We seldom have Chinese & English dictations in the same week.  Parents have been informed of the coverage of tests, dictations and exams. so that they can follow up accordingly.

The kids are expected to do some supplementary exercises (available in book stores) and extra reading so as to improve their language proficiency.

Sorry I can't remember the names of the publishers.

I have a relative who's daughter is studying in MaryKnoll Secondary School. Her daughter said that she has some classmates graduated from KTS. They are good standard but the mathematics is not high standard enough when compared with the standard of Maths in MaryKnoll Convent Primary School. Her mother and daughter said that KTS is a good standard school.

Hello, Ckw921, Really low level of mathematics?

Anyway, I am not worry about their academic standard. I just want to know this school which is "Spoon Feed Education" ? and any lessons to have trained the kid's creative mind?

Besides, my daughter is admitted to P.1 Sept 2005, I live in Tsing Yi, but I have checked the school bus which will pick up around 6:35am.  It is too early to us. May I know have some 保母車 which is employed by ourselves and grouped by all kids only living in Tsing Yi to KTS or nearby schools together?
Please help.

My son is also admitted by KTS.  If the standard of KTS is high, why its ranking is lower than APS and SFA.  I understand that APS and SFA are the traditional reputated school.  KTS is not famous enough?

I don't think the maths standard is lower than other competitive schools. My daughter has learnt additions and subtractions of double digits.  Some short questions are quite difficult too.

Turning to the point of reputation, I think KTS is not as high profile as APS and SFA.  I would admit that KTS is quite demanding and sometimes the pace is too fast.

My kid has classmates living in Tsuen Wan & Tsing Yi too.  But they normally arrive at school at around 7:40 a.m.  I don't know why the bus driver needs to pick up your kid at 6:35 a.m., may be your home is their first stop.  I know that some parents jointly hire a taxi - this option is much better.   Alternatively, you can have a word with KTS staff and see whether there are other school bus services (apart from "Hoi Tai" which has been employed by KTS exclusively) available.

As to my understanding, KTS is a good school in terms of sports and academic, which is evidenced by the results of allocation of secondary schools.  Maybe it is low profiled school relatively.

小一開學英文在上學期會教1B and 2A 的課本,but下學期會教2B,但不會全書教晒,只教某幾課。

數學在上學期會教小一上下學期的課本,but下學用小二上下學期的課本?新亞洲出版社

英文用什麽出版社的課本?LONGMAN-New Welcome to English(second Edition)

但我想提醒你要背乘數表,因為放完復活節假後要背。

Do you know what time will be arrived in TKO or Tiu Keng Leng ? can I have the school bus tel phone, so that I can check the accurate time to take the school bus in the morning, thank you very much.

There will also have the English Maths starting from P.1 2nd term.

Don't worry too much.  They will not and cannot teach all P.1 syllabus (Eng. 1B) of 1st term within only 3 weeks of the preparatory course during summer vacation.  Also, the frequency of dictations for both Chinese and English are less than I anticipated.  Normally 2-3 weeks for a dictation of each subject.

KTS's ranking is lower than APS and SFA? I don't think so. KTS is a pretty high standard and demanding school. I know some students there who are super-talents in English/Math/Music. Some even can write compositions better than many secondary students.

Quite many senior government officers and professionals graduated from KTS

My kid starts to use the Eng. maths textbook today (2nd term of p.1).

If the exam. result is not good, the school will provide supplementary courses to students who are in need.

I don't think the school has any preference on sex of the students.

One of them is Dr. Liu, the Secretary for Environment, Transport & Works.

Indeed, who are KTS graduates should not be a consideration.  Personally I don't have any feelings towards the outstanding schoolmates.

Ops, I miss your question.

A parent mentioned to me a few alumni (senior officers and lawyers) but I can't remember their names except Dr Liu Sau Tong, sorry.
