This is a good prep class for your kid. Even if your kid achieves a high academic standard, it's nice to let him/her get use to primary school life/ routine on a daily basis. He/She will be introduced to the school facilities and be familiarised to the timetable. Your kid will also make quite a lot of friends/ meet the teachers during this period. This will ensure a smoother start in Sept. Some may even look forward to a new school year so that they can see their friends again.
Some parents (whose kid have a few offers) let their kid join the summer prep class even they choose the other school for their kid at the end.
Your kid will be assigned to a group for summer prep class; however, all students will be rearranged to a class all over again randomly. In such way, your kid will get to know a few friends in each class. |
