I called today and the school confirmed NR still available for P1 places of most of its primary schools. (Without naming) . You don't need to have applied. You can apply now. The best thing is you don't need to be governed by catchment zone. You can choose any. Of course you need to fork out $500k. But the savings in tuition is worth it, in particular if you have no better offers.

So hurry up, the office closes at 6pm.

Does that mean the rush for the NR has not occurred during 2013 P1 application? And it is relatively easy to obtain a place if you have that money?

No, so far I know many NR holders failed thus Buying NR can't secure a seat.

If you are in the waiting list already, buying NR will put you on the top of the list. Don't forget many IS have not released result yet and there are still chance parents will give up ESF one.
