I have always been suspicious that this topic is in fact initiated by china bashers, that he or she is too bored and come out time and again. 高登site is really a better place to go to, views are far more extreme, or entertaining.

These people always blame the government, but then it is really the government who has always tried (often in vain) to stop the 雙飛, south asians, and now philipino maids to have permanent residency here. And it is those politicians that most china bashers vote for who help to these people to stay here, but then turn their back on. So, you are the very people who are not entitled to complain, in fact, it is sad that others have to pay the price for what you have done.

我知點解佢會問，因為國內國際學校的學費比香港貴一倍。國內人無寶不落，最叻搵著數。

其實應該不全是這樣。大陸的真正的國際學校大部分只收外國護照持有人及港澳台人士。這是因為這些學校的辦學執照有這方面的要求。有些國際學校可按執照要求收15%的內地人。但好的國際學校也是有很長的wait list,純內地人根本入不到。海歸和外派人士的子女就已經人滿為患了。

同意fattydaddy所說.  我在美國南部住了十年, 都係美國十大城市之一, 周圍都係mexicans, 南美人, 但冇香港對移民咁大反應.

1. 而家來hk d自由人, 都係短期性質, 佢地將國內陋習一拼帶來, 根本無意去改又或尊重本土文化. 南美人係美國主力係移民,唔係遊人,  佢地有心保留自己文化之餘, 亦明白生根落戶就要係某程度上美國化. 所以文化上冇咁多衝突.

2. 美國地方大咁多, 我重未聽過話因為有咁多南美人而塞車, 醫院同學校爆棚, 日用品比佢地搶購帶返鄉下, 樓同商鋪比佢地買到貴哂等.  基本上, 南美人湧入都唔係點影響到民生, 一來有的是地方, 所以地產好難話好貴. 二來, 美國學校好唔同.  學校有專為移民而設的 ESL, 到初中開始 (grade 6), 開始專科專教, 如grade 10英文老師只教grade 10英文, grade 11就教grade 11, geometry老師只教geometry, 學生就係班房間走堂. 所以英文呢d必修科最多都係20人一班, 數學就因為每個人程度唔同, 都係十幾人, 有d冷門d科目, 如法文低班係十二三人, 高班可能得四五個人都唔出奇. 相反, 香港教學資源緊絀, 一個老師可能教幾個唔同級別, 甚至幾科, 30人已叫小班, 係美國, 加多d學生去一間學校唔會有太大影響, 但係係香港, 每間學校根本已無餘缺.

3.  香港對入境移民無話事權, 只係一個配額, 大陸批左就要收.  係美國係相反.  唔少雙非的確係為左香港福利, 教育和醫療而來. 係美國, until 呢兩年obama propose 醫療改革, medical care 係要自負的 (除了高齡退休人士), 所以美國人都好緊張買保險.  雖然美國都有social security, 但原則上係冇公共房屋呢回事.  所以新移民去美國係想有個好d環境同機會, 但係唔係諗住食政府. 要知香港而家唔少老夫少妻問題, 好多時都end up變左單親家庭/綜緩家庭, then who foots the bill? 好難怪港人唔反感

Hehe, I agree this kind of forum is not appropriate for political posts, but then we don't see much of them either. There are some resentments floating around for sure, but hatred? I guess not.

One can always find simple excuses for complex problems, the simplest is of course to say that there is no problem at all, e.g. "There is nothing wrong with what we're doing, there is nothing wrong with the situation, they resent us simply because they are xxx bashers, they dislike us simply because they hate us, the problem is with them not us" {:1_1:}
