ESF does indeed have support provisions for those children with special learning needs but from what I hear, the waiting period is very long (several years). It also depends on the amount of support your child needs (can he/she be mainstreamed into a regular classroom or does he need more extensive oversight (Sarah Roe specifically caters to kids with learning differences). Regardless, they will also look at priorities (existing siblings, ESF legacy and teacher kids' priorities as well as English ability).
One of my friends' child is autistic and he goes to Autism Partnership (AP), which has done wonders for the child. They teach in English and caters to western families - but they are very expensive.
If your child is not so severe, (on the spectrum?), you could try the Harbour School, which seems quite open to taking in children with learning differences. Harbour School has a sister school who takes in specifically those children with more severe learning challenges.
While all these schools are excellent, they are also very expensive. Good luck! |
