My daughter is 5 yrs old and I would like her to attend some English course in Catherine Studio but they don't have any lessons on Sat. and Sun. :cry: :cry:

咁我想問下你地kindermusik by catherine和YMCA waterloo road 的kindermusik是不是同一種course 不過唔同地點和不同老師上呢？

Yes, same course with same materials and home materials but they are conducted by different teacher, who must be an authorised teacher of Kindermusik (one can check the name in the website). The musical instruments at Catherine are much more and the room is nice but she charges a higher fee and it is located at an inconvenient location (at the mid level) for me.
The tutor at YWCA is also good but you don't expect they can provide a lot of kindermusik musical instruments due to limited storage area. But I have enrolled in both courses and I found that my daughter likes the tutor at YWCA and the home material very much. Maybe, one can consider the location as you have to attend the lessons every week.

Hi, 馬媽媽, I have called YWCA in this afternoon and the girl said that YWCA didn't offer trial playgroup; therefore, may I consult you some advice about this playgroup:

(1) What is the general month range of those babies in the "Village" class? My baby is now 10 months old, how many months are yours?

(2) Does Ms. Tam speak only in English during the whole class?

(3) 你係在個class幾耐之前報名ga? 搶手嗎?

YWCA is located at Waterloo Road, opposite to Pui Ching College and is not in TST.

Winniepoon:

1) I have attended the "at our time"class only. I don't know the age range in the "village class". Therefore, you can contact Ms Afon Tam direct. Please check PM about the contact point.

2) She speaks English in the class.

3) I think that the enrolment is OK but you better check with YWCA.

Yes, she is a registered teacher. For the course fee, you can check with them for the updated price.

To 馬媽媽, many thanks for your advice!! For me, I do really love to teach my baby using the "kindermusik" approach. However, since I live in Ma On Shan, it seems that Waterloo Road is quite far away from me. Anyway, I will try to contact Ms. Tam to see whether she will teach other organization as well. Thanks again!!!

just call ywca for details and it's a pity that they have not organized kindermusik class for quite a number of months la...they said the last course was on aug. 04....

To swan_lau, really?! So surprise..in fact, I just called YWCA last Friday but the one on the phone said that YWCA did offer Kindermusik class in these days and was really conducted by Ms. Tam. Anyway, since it's too far away from my home, I'm finding another nearby playgroups for my little daughter.

Anyways, does anyone know that there is any organisations having Kindermusik playgroups? Thanks!!

ha? their response is so quick....ywca phoned me again and said that they'll organise the course on 19 feb., oh!!!

however, i've another babygym course for my bb on the same date. so, i'd prefer the next round, they said that maybe on may 05.

btw, where do you live? i know that kidsgallery also have kindermusik ka...in kowloon tong..

but you can call 電話公司 and ask for the phone no....that's what i do , and i remember the addresss is on cumberland road(金巴倫road). catherine will conduct classes overthere ka...

I lived in Ma On Shan in the past. It takes about 45 mins to 1 hours to YWCA. My daughter's classmate live in Shatin.

To danielboy, thanks for your adivce. I just called Catherine but the lady on the phone said the Catherine only had Village Class in Chinese University on Thursday but I'm looking for playgroups on Saturday. What's a pity.....
