We went to the interview and my Son got the acceptance. But just can't believe that i still haven't made up my mind!

Dear mama,

Just wanna update what is happening here :)

My Son finally started his school at BHS (Y3) in OCT and my daughter also started hers this week. (Y1)

I found there are not much different between RC and BHS but Chinese.
My son has regular Chinese HW and dictation every week when he was in RC year 3. Now, no HW and textbook for me to track so i don't know what is he doing in Chinese class at BHS. And HW in BHS is lesser then RC.

My kids are adopting BSH quickly. BHS is a small school so we can see teacher and management staffs easily. Its small but warm.

Anyay i think both RC and BHS are good school : )

対、聴説RC的中文程度高好多。　如果間間ESF都一様的話、可能BHS都是行PATHWAY制度。　P1-P6、有３個PATHWAY　（PATHWAY　１、２＆３、１為最低）、毎個PATHWAY再分UPPER＆LOWER　GRADES。　但是都応該有書的、我女女（不是BHS)説有黙書、不過老師不会特意説明、毎次交完功課後、当日便有黙書、毎CYCLE一次。　功課是写生詞＆作句。　学生属於WHICH　PATHWAY由老師決定。　　希望KAKA没有後悔転了校。

At BHS, they are supposed to start Chinese homework during the later half of Year 2. Once a week. As such, in Year 3, your son should have homework every week. And since the books are quite heavy, students don't carry them to and from school every day. You can ask your son to bring back the Chinese text books at the end of each week so you can go over the learned materials with him.
In any case, the Chinese teacher-parent consultations are being conducted for the next 2 weeks. Have you signed up at the Gateway? You can talk to your son's teacher face to face to know more details.

My daughter also changed from RC to BHS Y3 this year.

May i ask which pathway your son is being allocated to ? My daughter is in pathway 3 and she has Chinese textbooks, weekly Chinese homework and weekly Chinese dictation. You may consider talking to the teahcer to know more. Actually we parents will have chance to meet and talk to Chinese teacher next week.

My Son now is in pathway 2 :( i don't know why. My Son's Chinese is pretty good as i give him extra work everyday. Anyway, I will talk to His Chinese teacher next monday.

My Son is in 3D now. Just met Mrs Dales and she has positive comment on Owen, I am gratified

So RC adopts something quite like local schools when it comes to Chinese. Homework and dictation. Transparency in Chinese lessons.

How do you compare English level between RC and BHS? Thanks.

The more bizzare a thing is, the less mysterious it proves to be.
