Based on my limited IT knowledge, PC and Mac are different systems.
If you use a mac machine to make a powerpoint,
you cannot read it from PC, although they are both microsoft software,
unless you use a converter to read PC format.
Microsoft itself provides two different versions for PC and Mac.

Regarding video editing, Mac can read videos made by PC, and PC can read the final video outputs made by Mac, i.e. avi, mpeg, etc
But, if the video is being edited, then the tentative file cannot be read by different systems.
e.g. when I ask a photographer to take video, he usually use mac to generate computer file
I can read the video, but I cannot read the source to edit it.

In general, mac is more powerful than PC to do desktop publishing and video editing.

Another option is to buy a mac book which contains both Mac and PC system
and let user to pick the system when starting up the computer
However, it requires professional technician to install PC system on Mac.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I didn't know much about Mac. However, I girl's PC Powerpoint could be played in the Mac. at her classroom. Anyway, Mac. is better than PC.

高年級攀比確實嚴重，九年班常常丟一些名貴的手機或物品，好像學校查過幾次，最後都不了了之。中學部的鬼佬班主任不管孩子的品行的，很多不正之風，學校都不管，這個是事實。如果是品行方面，還是小學部好一些，學生也單純一點，但是到了中學部，就沒那麼簡單了。小兒也常和我說某某同學又有什麼好東西，問可不可以買之類的。有時候也都覺得無奈，不買孩子眼饞，買了確實沒用，也不是這個中學生該有的東西。其實物質上的問題還好，行為上問題，才是問題。

帶名貴物品回校的情況，每間學校都有，朋友任教於草根中學(九成以上住公屋，五分一綜援戶)，同樣有不少學生帶iphone, galaxy note, PSP, 甚至帶LV當書包。青少年人甚至成年人都有物慾，適當的物慾可促進經濟，但過份的或未懂賺錢先懂洗錢則不應鼓勵，這一點還是家長從子女小時多灌輸正確的價值觀。
