Before class starts, the kids are free to sit around the big table in the classroom to play toys while waiting for others to arrive. First session is singing, and doing some craftworks in the classrooms, where the kids are expected to sit on the chairs. Second session is playing at outdoor playground where there are basic outdoor toys including playing with water and sand. The kids are free to roam about. Third session is the dance room where the kids will sing and dance under the directions of the teacher, and are free to roam about the room to play with balls. Last session is back to the first classroom to take snacks and finished off with story telling. I think the contents at NCC playgroup are quite comprehensive. Personally I prefer NCC over Bambini. Having said that, we only attended one trial class at Bambini, so maybe it's not fair to jump to conclusions. We are also attending Anfield playgroup now, and I still prefer NCC, coz there are too much free time at Anfield. Personally I don't see the need of free time, coz if we are given free time to play at playgrounds in playgroup classes, I can always bring my boy to the playgrounds in our estate or even Kowloon garden, all with better facilities than the school, and also with the company of other kids.
