Hopefully I can make this long story short to explain to you.
St. Mary's Canossian College is indeed a through-train school for the two primary schools, St. Mary's Canossian and Holy Angels.
However, although this arrangement has started 6 years ago, the first year of students who can be through train are in current P.6. Previous graduates of these two primary schools are not yet guarantee and there are also outside students entering SMCC. They have been able to maintain a very good standard as you have based on probably khmama's ranking based on HKCEE.
So, certainly not all students in these two primary schools can be all band 1, not to say all band 1A. This is why there have been more pressure to these students to perform excellent so to maintain the excellent standard in the secondary section.
At the end, no pain no gain. This is a big concern of through-train school with wide variation of learning ability/ standard.
and I have called double checked with St. Mary's Canossian College that 100% P6 student will be promoted to St. Mary's Canossi ...
Yes certainly for the current students, as the arrangement has started, they will be promoted to SMCC (provided that they remain in the school 'til P6). I am sorry if I counted wrong the exact year. May need to dig out some old documents for the exact year when it began.
Yes, the band2/3 students will also be promoted. What is your question or concern exactly? It will affect the overall performance of the secondary school definitely. But assume that's the through-train many parents desire.
