Dear all,
Hearing problem among autisitc kid again,if need to explain to be long as hell.
But pls remember, many autistic kid's hearing problem is not they cant hear the sound, or not even they hear the sound loudier than others. It is the brain cannot identify the frequency. The brain cant identify it is a high or low frequency. The brain cant identify it is a sound that is from 100 metre or just whispering near his ear.
For restaurant example, the loudiness already irritate some common people, right? What if most of these noise all become sounds whispering near your ear. I am sure you will get mad within 5 mins.
There are some sophiscated training from private people like the famous expensive one in Sheugn wan or hosipital provided cheaper training u may seek for. But my suggestion to u is not to bother yr kid about restaurant if sound sensitivity problem is not yet identified.
Pls also remember sound itself also links to visual ability. Saying like ur visual 3D image in 2 eyes to a certain extent is also learnt from sound.
