I am planning whether to put my daughter in GH school.
Pls let me know the following question. Thanks.

1. 我知道GH 的校規十分嚴, so 你們的小朋友上學開心嗎?

2. GH 的教學方式是否很傳統, 都是田鴨式教學? I know that there are abt 40 pupils in one class. so how do the teacher take care so many pupils?

Hi bbcathe,
My daughter transferred to GH since P2's November 2011.  Now she is in P3.  About your questions.  I try to help....

I don't feel school's rules are tough, just normal.  At least I feel its good for kids esp for girls.  I came from a gals school too, got a good secondary life though rules were striaght there.

In fact their teaching way... not traditional at all (compared with a famous school in CWB)... they use almost same books but English, GH is using P4 books for P3.

Ofcos, they got 40-45 pupils in a cls, I would think its a bit too much.  Anyway, I found gals there are very independent. So sure no problem of the communication between teacher and pupils.

I think the school is just like our life in work.  if you meet a good boss (teacher) and peers (students), in school even tough is you an your kid needs to deal with your peers' parents.  I got a very bad experience with other parents ...which is school indepedent.  Sorry off topic but I want to express, a school life is more complex than work life and it composite by many elements which we can't control.

Sigh.....so many  公主病  girls and 怪獸父母...... no matter what happened with another kid and even a small things, they will complaint to school and complaint another students.  Always in a formal way...write a letter to principle!?  Is it a school life or court case?  I think we better have a lawyer to back up.  Maybe it is the most common question asked....are these students rich or from rich families? so their parents are so free to complaint or writing letters, while we are busy for our mouths.
