ICS: AM offer
CDNIS: waiting list

Though it is waiting list, and the chance is slim, I still need some info to make decision if CDNIS becomes available!

Where do you live? If you live in NT/Kowloon side, it is better to choose ICS. However, if you live on the HK Island, then you should choose CDNIS. My friend's kids are studying in ICS, she is satisfied with the school, students there are good and polite. Teachers are kind too. The flip side is they only offer Chinese lessons at elementary level. For CDNIS, heard that they are very strong in terms of art and they start learning Chinese at pre-reception. Their campus is nice too. Both have their pros and cons.

My friend's daughter is studying in the secondary school of CDNIS and they are very happy with the school. They are Canadian and living on the HK Island. I agree that studying close to where one lives is important especially for the young kids that require afternoon naps.

As for Chinese in ICS, the school has added Mandarin class to the Reception classes beginning this school year. 2 classes per week for 30 minutes each.

wow, your girl must be very smart! I applied these 2 schools for my son but he got rejected by CDNIS and on wait list for ICS... : (

May I know which school your daughter is studying right now? Any additional classes after school? Guess I really have to gear up my son in the coming year and try again nx year.

I guess it is not because of the school.
因為佢返學無奈，老師對佢既評價都幾好，主動同我講佢上
堂既表現。

我念係因為佢好鐘意講野，所以比人覺得好掛，而且講野好有logic(我成日同佢解釋好多野)。我覺得大部分小朋友都好smart，但如果面試既時候唔講野好輸蝕，老師評估唔到嘛，佢識但老師都唔知。

囡囡咁叻考到呀，兩間比較好似 Cdnis 外國人比例多 D 咁，Ics 就全部香港人，是嗎?

其實外國小朋友多與少對我來說是不重要的，如果多到好似香港島既esf學校，我就好唔鐘意！因為會好無紀律！

Yes, it is a through-train school. Whether being able to be promoted to the next grade depends on your child's ability but no more interviews.

They have Chinese every day and I'm pretty impressed with their IB Chinese program and path.

I also wish to know the Chinese class frequncy in ICS elementary school. Does anyone have any info on the school's Chinese program? ICS is American school system. How does that work when the students apply to universities in England or HK?
