My daughter is now studying in K2 EC class and I can try to answer your questions:
1. All kids have very good language abilities. SC has a very good system to train students in phonics and volcab. Should be about the same as the EP class
2. She is now in K2 and yes the NET is no longer the class teacher, but it doesn't matter, their Eng standard would not fall if no Eng teacher in the class. To be honest, a lot of kids they speak Eng to each others while they are talking among themselves...Once again, good Eng does not only come from 1-2 hours class per day, we need to provide good environment for our kid to learn another language.
3. This year, my girl has talked more in PTH at home. Singing songs, reading poems and pharses...More than I expected.
I never send my girl for any supplementary class in Eng, but all her teachers give her a goood comment on her Eng standard. You would be surprise on how much they actually learnt from school

Dear Pertra,
Let's see if I can answer your questions
1. If I remembered correctly, K1 will have PTH class 20-30mins 2-3 classes per week. Not as intensive as compared with EP class to be honest. However, kid also remember words they have been taught in class. K2 is the same but more comprehensive in content. I believe because my girl is now bigger and understand what PTH is about, thus she can tell me more what she has learnt from school (she is small bb, going to be four end of the year)
2. they teach everything. Math, common knowledge, science, all kinds of things. For kids like this they can't really differentiate all the classes but merge them altogether. I still remembered my girl told me about volcano and flooding were mentioned in class when she watched the news with me.
3. They do have activities for kids to participate. Picnic, museum visit, visit to the post office..etc. They also have some activities which liaise with outside institute, e,g, Scienceworkshop and Drama Club. Good enough for kids to enjoy.
4. Assessment report details? well for K1 is general performance of your kids grading from excellent to need encouragement. At first, I thought that all the kids have excellences but it turns out that's not true.
5. Overall I think the syllabus is ok. Not too pushy but enough for kids to explore. For K1, its not difficult at all, but K2 will be a big change for the kid. Esp for my girl as she is small bb and all her fine motor skill is still permature. It takes a bit time for her to pick up. In fact, I do find that the reason why a kid need to be 3 to get in kinder because the developmental stage of them need time to adjust to school life and school work.

Pertra, see u here too, u r definitely a good mom doing so much searching for your kid. I think angeemama has answered most, I can add some here.
I saw all Math materials in English, but my daughter said it's taught by Chinese teacher (using English I think)
I didn't see kids transferred from EC to EP, but my daughter got a classmate transferred from EP to EC

Just to let you know that you can apply to transfer from E/C class to E/P class in K1 2nd term (just the same timing as those outsiders apply to 插班 in K2). However, it's not a must for the school to permit the transfer as there are different factors to consider, eg. the no. of E/P place available, no. of applications from outsiders, no. of applications from existing students, the performance of existing students etc.
