MCS is a school with a lot of history. Their handwriting has been passed on since then. If you pay attention, it's very similar to Italic esp. the cursive which your daughter will learn in later years. The cursive is designed for using pen and ink but it was long time ago already. Now it just become a signature of the school. When your daughter gets to secondary, she doesn't have to follow that handwriting. She can develop her own style from what she has learnt.
