小兒是2009/2010小一生，我認為學校著重小朋友全面的能力(單靠英語叻是不足夠的)，當年學校為小兒評估以下:

1) 中文(配詞)
2) 英文(對答)
3) 數學(加數，不知有沒有減數)
4) 記憶力
5) 創意

聽說上年度 interview 加了普通話對答，學校對學生要求似乎越來越高。

收唔收portfolio? 學校看不看重公開比賽獎項呢？

學校會收portfolio，我相信所有學校只會考慮有代表性的比賽獎項。

我個仔今年都會入讀呢間學校,記得舊年帶佢去面試時,我都無咩把握會入到. 因聽D媽咪講話呢間學校如果入到第二輪面試時,小朋友要全程用英文和校長溝通. 我心唸,唔係掛,佢平時只講廣東話,點同校長講野呀?? 雖然,佢每星期都有上開英語會話班和普通話班,但佢平時都唔太願意講. 不過, 最後表還是遞了,即管試吓吧,當攞個經驗囉.

最後,仔仔還是憑著淡定的表現, 成功獲得取錄.

第二次面試當日,校長單獨見完佢之後再請我們見面約15分鐘. 校長都說他表現淡定,坐喺到說話時沒有郁來郁去,坐得非常之端正. 又說他答問題時表達清晰, 雖然說他英語對答還差一點點,不過呢D唔係大問題. 所以, 我覺得學校不會只著重英文能力方面, 而其他各方面都會著重. 還有, 我的小朋友連一張CERT.都沒有的,只有校內成績表和課外活動的資料.

Thanks for your info! I wish my daughter would be as smart as your kid too!
Somehow you regard the headmaster would like the kids who can sit still and behave well?
My daughter has no cert at all as well. So we are quite worried. How did you give the proof of your kid's ECA??

Hi cpcoq,

我其實都只係親自幫佢做咗份個人資料夾去報名,內容只係有參加過校內及校外的活動資料,有D係校內頒發的証明,有D係校外頒發的証明,有D沒有,譬如游水.

Thanks, kiu-mummy. Most of the courses my daughter takes don't have any proof or cert. I hope the school will accept the info I give then.
I do hope she will have luck and could go to this school next year. I know it is not easy at all. :(

唔好咁快打定輸數,呢間都係我最無把握個仔會入到嘅一間,點知就係咁好彩. 講真, 考直資或私校都好,我覺得考運氣多過考實力,同埋重要睇埋和個考官有無眼緣.

I agree with you, Kiu-mummy. It might be depend on the luck and the children are liked or not. This school only has 2 classes so the seats is so limited. Anyway, I will still have a try and do not expect too much.

cpcog: You mean there is 2 classes for P.1 ? How many students per one class? How many applicants for the last year? I will apply for my son but I also worry about his English & Putongua.

There are 3 classes for P1. Each class has around 28 pupils. The pupils (around 84) are divided into 4 groups for Chinese, English & Mathematics according to their standard of the 3 various subjects.

The no. of applicants last year was over 1,000.

Does anyone know the exact figure of application no.?

I do think that there were many applicants last year because the interviewing period started from August to Dec. So early application may be better.

Luckily, the school would inform you for the 2nd interview in 1-2 weeks time.
