According to the memo, this Friday would not allow parent to join the event. I don't want to comment but we just not get use to it. The school allow parent to join the event in last 5years but sudently change policy. More distance to my kid and school again.
I don't think that is the case. Last year, senior classes had sport day with secondary school together. It is the first year secondary school have separate sport day. It should be more space now. In the past, all classes would join the same sports day that welcome parent to join in without problem.
Racing and competition are part of real life situation. Kids would better to face the issue earlier rather than later. It may help them to improve themselves to move to the other level as kind of motivation.
If I am not wrong, Sai Kung Stadium has been used for senior classes for 3 years now. Both sides could be opened in the past. In fact, right hand side of standium was opened for parent who join the long run event on Friday. I didn't see any maintenance work on going. Honestly, I found some parent just ignored the notices and sat next to their kids. I think the event still allow parent to join unofficially. I hope the school would not like to keep distance with parent after primary and secondary school's management being separated.
I got same feeling. It seems the sport day is more professional and less fun that is better. I remembered last year, half of students left with their in the middle of race.
