It is from my past experience that I learned, certificates from "courses" like Ballet, Art, Enopi, Kumon, Kids Gallery, Speech competitions, music competitions, swimming lessons, singing, ....etc..... trinity, cambridge........ are NOT useless for applying schools, because EVERYONE who applies have these.
You need certificates that indicate your child is a "special" talent in that area. For example, your child wins 1st place consistently in speech competitions, that might be "added value" for your child, if you were a principal considering the applicants.
Or, your child swims, or runs with special talent that is ABOVE the expected age.
So conclusion, you need to have some certificates, because it is a standard, that your child and your family supports some extra curricular activities, and that you can afford these lessons, and that your child is active, not just in school.
HOWEVER, the certs that HELP your child stand out of the thousands of other applicants, are those that shows and confirms your child has SPECIAL talent in some area that will help the target school to gain "reputation." |
